Reviews for Le Bateau
A little hard to find, Le Bateau is situated next to Society in the middle of Seel Street, near Paradise/Hanover Street. It takes a little finding and looks more like an old house than a club.
£3 entry with NUS/before 11.30pm or £4 without/later. Drinks are reasonably priced. Le Bateau caters for the majority of new indie lovers. Previously, the music was diverse with a mix of new and old indie. Now, it seeems that I have lost touch with the new indie genres. A hit with most students and youngsters, there are few oldies in the crowd I'm afraid.
There are 2 floors and a bar on each floor. The dancefloor on the top floor is often deafening if you stand near the speakers.
Toilets lack toilet paper and leak water but are better than the Krazyhouse!
Cloakroom is only 70p, a bargain compared to some.
Overall, a fairly decent night out for those indie alternatives.
