Would give this place far more than just five stars if I could, it is just wonderful. A real authentic Italian eatery with delicious food.

It is very small though, which adds to the intimate feel of the place but does mean it gets quite busy.
It's a great place for lunch or an early evening meal (it's not open late at the moment), but also good to just pop in for a coffee and cake. Their coffee is one of the best I've found in Liverpool.
Quite by chance we were forced into The Italian Club on a wash out of a Saturday afternoon in Liverpool and due to excessive shopping I was really ready for something nice to eat. I was certainly not disappointed on my visit to The Italian Club.
On the first of many visits to come I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and friendly the staff at the cafe were. I opted for a vegetarian panini with goats cheese which was truly scruptious and just the thing to warm my cockles on a rainy day. My boyfriend had a pasta dish and judging by the lack of conversation whilst he ate, I knew he really enjoyed his meal.
We enjoyed freshly made mugs of latte and americano coffee and finished off by sharing a delicious portion of
tiramisu. I would recomment this eatery to anyone but sadly they are closed on Sundays. You may have to wait for a table as I am not the only person to have stumbled across this lovely place.
On a rainy day in Liverpool, stumbling into the Italian Club was a really good stroke of luck. The interior is warm, clean and inviting and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming.
The place has a truly authentic Italian vibe, with some excellent authentic foods. I went for a panini with salami, goat's cheese, pesto and aubergine. It was hot and tasty, and served on a really lovely block of wood! Tea came in glass mugs - a trivial but nice touch.
The thing that really makes the place stand out though is the authenticity. This isn't some mock Italian cafe, it's the real deal.
Today,I experienced a truly authentic Italian restaurant here in Liverpool newly opened this wednesday,it was already full to capacity(although its not the biggest eatery in the city). We ordered bruschetta to start with, which was freshly prepared using cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, served on crispy ciabatta and drizzled with olive oil and fresh Garlic, it was lovely.I then tried the lasagne, which was fantastic.Home made egg lasagne with a creamy, light bechamel sauce and a tasty ragu ,it melted in your mouth,my tastebuds were in heaven.Andy had the vegetarian option, courgettes with a cheese topping, served with pasta shells in a caprese sauce. He ate the lot and wanted to try the tiramisu.Unfortunately, the last piece was given to a woman who was sharing our table, who kindly let me sample a taste of it(purely for review purposes of course)it was divine. Currently, the Italian Club is open mon-sat from 9-6pm, but I suspect that due to popular demand these hours will be extended to later opening hours. If you love Italian food this is the place for you.
