Dating back to Cromwell’s times and originally an old coach house, The Pheasant, was previously known as the Blundell Arms Inn, and locally known as "Appy’s" after a previous tenant. The area around the pub is probably best known for breeding pheasants and partridges for organised Shooting Parties, in fact in mid winter it is a common sight to see pheasants wandering into the yard of the pub looking for food.

Guests will be able to browse a new menu which includes a wide variety of freshly prepared classic pub dishes such as Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb, daily fresh fish dishes and Homemade Pie of the Day. There is also a separate lunch menu offering freshly made sandwiches and salads, perfect if you’re just nipping in for a quick bite.

Reviews for The Pheasant

Very welcoming Pub on the back road out of Crosby on the way to Formby.
The food it serves is not your normal 'deep-fried tat' you get in most Pubs, but varied and fresh well made food, easily passable for good restaurant food.
The pub was recently refitted and it now feels very cosy, with tables around open fires, etc.
The Waiting staff, strangely enough, are some of the best I have experienced!! Very helpful, courteous and quick. Price wise it's not bad, a little bit more than an average pub, (but the food is SO much better)
