'Da Blert
"Going down the lane" or "going to the blert" is how we say "are you heading to the albert for a drink?". The bleret is found in the bohmenian district of liverpool, lark lane. The albert ws my local for many years attracting the best artists/musos and partiers in liverpool. Unfortunalty bad crowds started to move in and the albert became ahaven for drug dealers and continual fights, not what your looking for in a oub. However a few years back a new manager cosed it down, refurbished and then ruled with an iron fist, driving out the trouble makers. Now the albert has returned to a pleasant lively pub with a large heated, paved garden with plenty of seats. Prices are cheap and the atmosphere friendly.
