Reviews for Pogue Mahone
Pogue Mahones has become THE place for me to take my mates from Ireland when they come to visit. A laid back atmosphere and friendly staff create the perfect back drop for some serious drinking and silly conversations. Every time we go to Pogue Mahone's Bar we end up speaking to new people and having a really good night.
At the weekends there are usually live bands or musicians playing which is fantastic entertainment BUT I like to sit through the back so I can chat and have the best of both worlds. We have also been known to visit Pogue Mahone for sports matches like hurling and gaelic football on the big screens although this pub does fill up quickly on match days.
Pogue Mahone do not serve food so the only down point for this place is that you have to leave if you are hungry, thus you may lose your seat - not too much to complain about then.
