This is a great fun way to see the city - whether you've lived here a minute or a lifetime, I guarantee the commentator will tell you something you didn't know, or make you look at something in a different light.
The commentary is hilarious, and involving, and educational, all at the same time. The water-based part of the tour means you get to see the docks as they are meant to be seen - from the business end, and the land-based parts eschews the traditional "box-ticking" of things...

The commentary is hilarious, and involving, and educational, all at the same time. The water-based part of the tour means you get to see the docks as they are meant to be seen - from the business end, and the land-based parts eschews the traditional "box-ticking" of things like the Sightseeing buses, and takes you to some truly interesting corners of Liverpool.
If you are ever stuck with what to do with visiting guests, this is perfect - the only downside is the price.

This was great, a perfect chance for a look at all the great sites of Liverpool as you drive around the city on your 'duck'. You get to listen to the history of the city which is good. It runs quite often too so you havent really got much of a wait and its right in the albert dock too so you have something to do while you wait too. The best part of this i think is the 'splashdown' which is when you have driven around the city you then get to go straight into the water as your 'duck' gets its waterwings on lol you then go around the docks by water. Its very entertaining but a little pricey i think.

Its def worth doing, but something i wouldnt do twice. Good fun though!!

Sightseeing tours with a difference - great fun for all the family!
Take a one hour trip on the YellowDuckMarine, a converted amphibious World War II landing vehicle. It has my two boys screeching with joy every time it drives past us on the street, remembering the lovely trip we took on it.
You can board at the Albert Dock, from where the tour goes along the Waterfront, then taking in the City Centre sights including the cathedrals, before it goes back to Salthouse Dock for 'Splashdown' - diving straight into the dock to then go on as a boat trip through the Albert Dock.
Runs every hour, just a shame it's so expensive - family tickets are £29 or £34 during holidays.
