Used to be one of the best beer pubs around, but since it was bought by Belhaven it now just a good one. The food is the kind of standard Scottish pub fayre, but better done than most. Probably one of the two best pubs in town, but not quite the superb place it used to be.

The Four Mary's is an excellent pub/restaurant. It is not big but it certainly makes up for it elsewhere.
The beer is varied and excellent quality. There are many certificates and awards on the walls displaying the success of the pub. It is also included in britains good beer guide.
The front of the building is used as a pub and the back there is a restaurant that serves excellent pub food.
There is a beer garden out the back but im not sure it is still being used due to nearby houses complaining of the cigarette smoke.
The decor is really nice and relaxing. The crowd you will more likely find in here is mature and you will very unlikely find many teenagers or 20's in here unless its for the meals.
