Reviews for The Orange Tree
This is one of the most unique places to go eat. It’s lively and so peaceful at the same time. I’ve always been during the day but I have heard it gets pretty crowded later on. When I get the chance to visit the orange tree, I take it. There is nowhere like it. I have not tried the cocktails as I always need to drive home. But from what my friends tell me, the cocktails are brilliant.
The food is quite good, It isn’t the best, but its not bad either, just being able to stay in the orange tree makes up for it.
If your near, you definitely need to give it a visit.
One of the ony decent places to go out in the city centre is the Orange Tree. Kookie retro interior teamed with local artists work on the walls makes for a relaxing kookie atmosphere.
The cocktail are great especially the toblerone martini and the food is incredible value for money on the whole.
Gets very busy early on till roughly eleven at night on weekeds and also busy on thursdays. However thursdays are mostly full of young students / people as a pre warning.
Along with great cocktails theres also a good selection of nice beers on tap such as hoegarden and starapomen, mocktails are also an option for designated drivers and are also of a high standard.
I love the Orange Tree. I generally don't like going into town for a drink these days but if I do then I will end up in here. It's a very inviting and cosy place, with battered floorboards and retro sofas. The food is generally pretty good - I've only ever had one bad meal here and that was the Sunday roast. It arrived cold, the meat was fatty and virtually inedible and there was very little veg. Sunday roast aside though I can highly recommend the Orange Tree - it's a lovely place to call in for a drink whilst you're shopping.
The orange tree is a funky pub with vintage décor, good drinks and a great cocktail menu, which includes drinks with chocolate in, or for the none sweet tooth crush ice and mint leaves as well as a good amount of the strong stuff.
The food here is very tastey! And they do the best wedges I have ever eaten in my life, there is nothing better than a afternoon half and some wedges to fuel the rest of the day. The wifi is free and will connect right away without any faffing for codes.
There is a large beer garden also which always seems very busy. Oh and the ladies hand soap smells like a sweetie, which has to be a good thing :D
