Reviews for Brio Pizza
Very well sited In The Light for access to the cinema and shops. Open all day too and near the multi story car park. Food is average but good and middle of the road prices. Choices are somewhat limited and I wish there were a few more veggie choices but that is always the case. Oh for a decent all-veggie restaurant in Leeds!!!! Good for a quick bite before or after shopping or cinema visiting but not the sort of place to go for a special meal. Much prefer the 'Big' Brio near the Leeds General Infirmary for atmosphere but this one serves a very useful purpose.
It is an average+ Italian restaurant. Nothing really special. The pizza is just great, the pasta is very good and I was told that the mussels where the speciality. If you had family this is a good place to go.
I was shocked to see the reviews above as I've always had good (if not outstanding) service at Brio Pizza and it's a place we go back to often with the kids. Fabulous tasting pizzas, good pasta and stonking steak sandwich.
Very disappointed with the food and the staff at Brio's (The Light Leeds). We visited after taking our children to the Theatre, as a special treat, only to be sworn at, and told very aggressively to leave, when we complained about one of the starters. We expected that the Tuna starter at £7.95, would contain a small piece of fresh tuna. Instead it was a plate full of tinned brown poor quality tuna flakes mixed with beans and sliced onions. Tastless and very disappointing. Unfortuately the manager decided that he did not like his food being criticised and told us to F*** off out of his restaurant!! A disgraceful way to be treat under any circumstances, but especially when with a 13 year old and 16 year old. We will never return and will not recommend it to our friends.
Set within The Light complex Brio is a convenient place to eat for shoppers and cinema goers, but for the same price there's plenty of alternatives within a 5 mintue walk that would all rate better than Brio.
With five restaurants next to each other I'd pick one of the others, even though I'm a pizza freak!
