I love this restaurant, the food is delicious and the staff are friendly and polite. There is plenty of choice and great value for money. They even do deliveries so you can enjoy the food indoors at home if you prefer. They have a function room downstairs which is fab.. I'm having my hen party there. If it's good food and a friendly atmosphere you want then India is the place for you

An evening i wont be forgeting in a hurry... a beautifully inviting decor... then to be greeted warmly by the friendly efficient staff... can it get any better? The poppodoms and pickle trays which normally look as tho they have been taken from table to table were immacculate. To start i had lamb chops which were the most tender and flavoursome chops i have ever had.For my main i had chicken and spinach which was delicious. to accompany i had the biggest naan bread i have ever seen and at a mere 2.50 it was well worth it.... I could go on about this place for ever but not to bore you... Fact is...you can't get better. There was 4 of us all together we all had starters and all had main course with rice and naan breads and two bottles of wine. The bill came to around 43 quid which i believe is fantastic... All in all it was a wonderful experience and i will return over and over again.

Now believe me i have had my fair share of curries!!! I have tried curries all over the world and India The Restaurant is the best food i have ever tasted! I live in Leeds but for years me and my wife have had to travel to Bradford to get a decent curry... not anymore! We first visited India The Restaurant in October and since then must have been a dozen times, everything about this place is good. The food is amazingly good value and the service is outstanding. This restaurant is definately one to watch.. I was talking to the manager the other day and he said they had just bought 3 new sites and were in the process of getting their brand into supermarkets... Don't just take my word for it... book a table and let the food speak for itself!!!

WOW! This is possibly the newest addition to the long list of established Indian restaurants in Leeds.. But by far the best. The decor is immaculate and the service is 1st class. Food prices are average with dishes ranging from £5-£7 and starters from £2.50 - £4. Their menu is huge and have possibly every Indian dish you can ever imagine. This restaurant used to be the Corner Cafe on Burley Road about 8 years back, being the busiest restaurant in Leeds, they then moved to Ilkley and again were the busiest restaurant there!!! Now situated on Kirkstall Road they are doing well and deserve to be the best. Downstairs is a beautiful Bollywood Lounge with a private bar. They even have their own limo which picks you up and drops you off from the restaurant FREE OF CHARGE!!!!

I urge everyone to give this beauty a try.. You will not be disappointed!!!

In my opinion, this is one of the three nicest Indian restaurants in Leeds (the other two being the Aagrah and Abid's of Stanningley). The food is fresh, ample and cheap, the service pleasant and efficient; it has a number of unusual dishes on its huge menu and deserves to do well. I personally much prefer it to than the longer-established Sheesh Mahal nearby.

The exterior is a little offputting as it looks pricey, however dont be afraid the wallet is safe in here.

The mains are mostly in the £6 to £8 mark, and the biggest nan bread ever is £1.50.

The food is all freshly cooked - even the onion pakora starter - and it shows, not reheated from earlier in the day. I cannot believe the other review, he clearly wants microwave chicken and flock wallpaper.

I always find the staff helpful and will create specials if they have the ingredients. It can be quiet early in the week but do give it a try, you won't be sorry.

India, what can I say, as far away from Indian cusine as a Cornish pasty. Upon arrival you instantly feel transported to another world, a cold, clinical, sombre environment. From its UV lighting to its "minimalist" white interior, it is more like a morgue than a restaurant. There is not a trace of the indian culture that provides its name.

Despite being the only group in the restaurant, and there being a ratio of at least memebers of staff per member of our party, service suprisingly slow.

Once our food finally graced our "city sheek" table, it was hardly worth the wait. To be kind it lacked flavour of any Indian authenticity, in no respect did it live up to its name. It was disapointingly overpriced, probably due to the fact that the extravagant furnishings have to be paid for.

Our experience was all show and no substance. If you want India, don't go to India.
