Mr Foley's has won Leeds CAMRA 'Pub of the Year 08/09'!

PS After closing for a day and resetting the bar floor, the smell has gone.

Oh yes. I like it. Very much. How pleasant to drink proper beer...

I would like to make everyone aware that the smell effecting our pub is not the result of stale beer/unclean premises (stale beer has more of a vinegar smell to it) but problems we are having with the main drains on the street, and a problem several of our neibours are experiencing. We are doing our best to rectify this ASAP.

What an excellent place Mr Foleys is - a York Brewery pub smack bang in the middle of Leeds.

It attracts an eclectic clientele from "Bankers" to Lawyers, Students to Actors. All go there for exceptionally served real ale, imported real beers and a decent wine list.

If you run something this thriving - why oh why ruin it by not bothering to clean the bar properly. The pervading smell of stale beer (similar to Baby sick) ruins the experience totally downstairs and most of the punters have started murmering and moving to other parts of the pub.

It's not rocket salad - use a good industrial cleaner specifically designed for the trade to neutralise bacteria and odours and do the cleaning properly. What a totally avoidable shame...

York Brewery’s first pub outside York, Mr Foley's Cask Ale House is a life saver if you are looking for somewhere sensible to go for go a good quality cask conditioned ale in the centre of Leeds. Situated just on the fringe of Leeds' Business Quarter, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and a relaxing environment in which to enjoy your beer. Alongside the ales, you will find bottled continental beers, European draught lagers and the more common British lagers. Wine and spirits feature also along with a range of cold and hot soft drinks. Food is served daily from 11am. Live Sports are shown on the flat screen TVs but it doesn’t distract from what is a fantastic pub!
