What a pub!
I've spent many a day, and many a night in here, and sat outside in the summer.
Lots of real ale, loved and cared for by the management and staff. Apparently they have quite a good wine list too.
The Grove is, at first sight, quite small. But when you explore this traditional Yorkshire pub, it gets much bigger.
There's an open bar room with dart board and dominos, then a couple of side rooms.
At the back is a large function room where live bands appear most nights of the week.
There's outside seating and every summer a 2 day music festival with popular local and national blues & rock bands, a barbaque and bouncy castle for the kids.
This place really is unbeatable for good quality real ale in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are really friendly too, as are the regulars.
