The Fenton is right near both Unis, but doesn't really draw the usual student crowd.

They do have an excellent selection on the jukebox, and the drinks are decently priced. The atmosphere and staff are friendly.

They do an excellent pint, the staff are really friendly, there are pool table, television and a juke box. There is food available also but the quality of this is a bit patchy- usually ok though. Lots of different people drink in here not just students which adds to its appeal. Located between the University/studentville and town it is a convenient place for a swift half on the way out for an evening. There are a couple of big steps at the front door which is quite heavy. There is another door without a step but it is narrow and the furniture on the other side of it is an obstacle.

There are apparently gigs on here from time to time but I have yet to catch one.
