Reviews for Wok Express
Found the place to be dirty and can get better for elsewhere.
I thought food was excellent...or was I too hungry??
no...catonese duck is billiant, but I think their Hot and Sour soup is the best.
excellent phone manner, efficient ordering, no need for spelling the address :)

Having ate at most takeaways in Lancaster my stomach and I can both firmly say that Wok Express is the best one for chinese food.
First of all, the service is very good. The staff take your orders down very nicely and the delivery is swift so you don't get too hungry when waiting.
On top of the goodies you get in addition to your order, which are all very nice, the food itself is outstanding. Although I haven't exactly gone through the whole menu yet since there's so much choice from what I've ate I can concur with the other good reviews around here. It's tasty, authentic, plentiful, and above all damn good value.
keep up the good work wok express!
Excellent phone manner, love the prawn crackers and I always get freebies when I place my order for over 13 quid. I also love the salt n pepper ribs n prawns!
I've tried almost all the Chinese takeaways in town, Wok has the tastiest food, simply the best in Lancaster with v. good value! I'll recommend Foo-Yung dishes and Curry dishes.
I can't taste and greasiness of the food or whatever, I would def. recommend Wok to anyone in Lancaster:D
The food on the menu is pretty standard for a chinese takeaway you have your chow meins, your beef in black bean sauce etc, however the food is absolutely delicious.
Portions are very generous and considering the portions, and the added free gifts the prices are excellent.
Staff are very courteous and polite and always happy to see you/ready to help with any queries.
During my time at Lancaster uni, my friends and I tried all the Chineses at some point and wok express was by far our favourite.
I highly recommend the Four Season and Spring Rolls.
just had a bland, greasy, grotty meal from Wok Express in Lancaster. I'd ordered a king prawn foo yung- yum?... no.
normally i quite like onion- it brings oodles of flavour to many dishes and when served correctly onion can make a meal deeeelish. but not in this case- seriously! the whole thing was onion!- and yet any flavour was nowhere to be found.
Throwing the foo yung aside, as one would an ugly baby,
i moved on to my spring rolls and sesame prawny toasty thingies. Spring rolls were alright- nothing major to report but the toasty thingies! yuk- - oil soaked, greasy, nasty tasting things they were- the oil had mixed with the bread and made it all fluffy-like but soggy- actually made me feel a bit queasy
not very nice
also- they might try and contact you if you write a bad review about it 8-/
As a Chinese take away for non students this is on of the best, and one of my favourites in Lancaster. The sweet and sour chicken is one of my favourites. Delicious. Add to that the fantastic prawn and chicken balls, which go very well with the sweet and sour sauce and you are away! Good value, and the portions are of very good size. I would advise to anybody in Lancaster as a good take away.
Excellent phone manner polite and efficient, food delivered within estimated arrival time and was hot and very well presented. "What great food", the seaweed was sensational, the portions were more than adequate. The prawn toast was tasty and thick sliced, and the sweet and sour chicken rocked my boat. The Chicken Chow Mein was bursting with flavour and overflowing from its container. Mouthwatering to say the least.
Seriously good food.
They have me hooked going back for more, don't be frightened pick up the challenge.
