Asked for advice on oil used for cooking still waiting (severe nut allergy). Ham on sandwich and deli boards was Pork and died of old age inedible, had asked for no pickle on sandwich waitress said ham no pickle - guess what pickle!!! Was sent back to kitchen and on its return the bread was not buttered but as we were with family did not complain again the whole event was just embarassing. We will not return nor will we recommend this establishment it was the most awful meal out ever
A lovely pub/restaurant full of character - used to be wine cellars. Set in Castle Hill opposite the main post office in Lancaster.
All your classic freshly made pub dishes made with the finest local produce - the hand cut chunky chips are the best i've tasted in a long time! There are specials and mains as well as sandwiches, starters and snacks like morecambe bay potted shrimps, fishcakes and soups.
Well worth a visit for a pub lunch or an evening meal.
Friendly helpful staff - good service.
