This place is sadly let down by the quality of the food. It's in an ideal location ..plenty of parking, right next to cinema...but the food is pretty poor. Tasteless canteen style and, I feel, not worth the money. I suspect it's all frozen apart from the roast dinners ( which I have to be honest and say aren't too bad) but that they are the only thing I'd have on the menu.
Personally I'd rather go to KFC..and that's saying something!

The building itself is nice inside, staff have been ok but I'd just avoid now unless for a quick drink before or after the cinema. There are plenty of much better places to eat around the area.

The Parched Poet is handily located for a drink or meal before going to the cinema, especially if you are the type who detests Burger King/McDonalds etc Have been on a number of occassions and each time my meal has been fine, however I cannot count the number of times when other customers have returned their meals. So, I think the food can be a bit hit or miss. Meals are not cheap, Weatherspoons are cheaper. I would say the menus and quality between the two are about the same. Family friendly pub with a childrens menu, children have be out by a certain time (7.00pm I think). Staff are okay, cannot say they are unfriendly but I have never left a tip as I do not feel they deserve any. I do normally leave tips. The only thing going for the Parched Poet is the location, it has no other redeeming feature.
