It may have fought off the "arty farty" revamp for now, but it's subject to review in another five years time so may only be a temporary reprieve.

It is one of the few places in Keswick where you can sit outside with a view of the lake. And the piano that plays by itself has been fascinaqting children for years.

Long may it last!!!!!!!!!!

It's been there for years and has recently fought off arty farty re-development plans from the adjoining theatre.

Situated by the boat landings on Derwent Water tis a great place to get a cuppa and/or a meal. Nothing fancy but the grub is fine. It is especially good for those with dogs as they have an outdoor area where your dog is welcome and an undercover bit where you and the dog can get in out of the rain.

I've stated that it's quiet and relaxed but obviously this depends on what time of day you are there and the season. The summer season means that everywhere in Keswick is busy, busy, busy.
