This is a small but great cafe in Ilkeston. I always used to just wander on by and not venture in but decided to one day and what a surprise. Not only do they do lovely cakes but also dinners. The prices are really good and you get fantastic value. The owner, Mike, could not be more helpful. The place is great for those with pushchairs and children. They help you in and out the shop with the buggy, there is a little changing room and high chairs, something I would not have expected from a small cafe. It is also pro-breastfeeding and one of the only places in Ilkeston you can go to feed your child. There are papers to read should you want to take your time over a coffee. Can recommend the toasted baguettes and hot chocolate! They also have a take-away section so you can take those cakes back home - go for the cherry scones!
