Kabana
43 Trinity St, Huddersfield, HD1 4DN
Indian food to me has always meant over sized portions, a little bit greasy and in general same from restaurant to restaurant. It's just what I like.
The great news is you definitely won't leave feeling hungry. The portions are great you'll definitely find something great!
Definitely worth a visit.

I'd heard a lot of things about Kabana before I went.

Many people eat here and enjoy it but not many realise what a great job they do cos they are open late all the time and cope with some of the most drunk people in town and they never seem to compalin. They deserve a medal of some kind.
This is somewhere that does the most amazing spicy tandoori chicken kebabs and you can taste the quality and the spices and the naan bread's so fluffy and light its amazing.

We ate at the Kabana Restaurant on Trinity Street, Huddersfield. The location is perfectly central and is only a short walk from both the bus station and train station. There is no parking available at the restaurant however there is plenty of parking available nearby.
From the inside it is beautifully decorated in an authentic Indian design and the lighting is perfect to create a relaxed atmosphere, perfect to unwind after a busy day. You can tell that a lot of care and attention has been put into creating a restaurant with good atmosphere. Gentle music was also playing which added to the ambience.
We were greeted as soon as we entered the premises. Our waiter was smartly dressed and very polite to us. We were immediately presented with menus and our drink order was taken.
We were blown away by the menu as there was so much to choose from. I am a fan of Vegetarian Indian food and the menu would not disappoint any vegetarian there was a great selection available.
A buffet menu was also available which proved to be popular with our fellow diners. The buffet offers a variety of Indian dishes and side dishes at a reasonable price. This would also be suitable for vegetarians. We ate quite early however there was still a reasonable amount of people in the restaurant to say that it was so early.
The service was friendly and fast although we did not feel hurried in the slightest and the waiter made an effort to make conversation with us and was keen to know what we thought of the food.
The rest rooms were clean and accessible.
Kabana is definitely worth a visit.
I went into Kabana yesterday evening and orderd a small kebab in pitta, with seekh kebabs rather than donner meat, thinking it'll be a 'healthier' option. I was wrong. I was home within 10 mins. Unwrapped my order and found my seekh kebab to be not really onthe warm side. I ate it...
This morning Ive had stomach pains, and repeatedly have had to go to the toilet. Even while typing this review I am in discomfort. This in NOT what I wanted ! Especially at his rip-off prices.
This is not the first they have let me down. Previously I orderd a takeaway. A special curry with chappaties... They chappaties arrived cold! I rang back, and the cheaky bastard, the bosses son, answerd said that he expected all customers to warm the chappaties up! Liar! What $hit service!
