Stumbled on this place when a train to London ended up taking me no further than Hitchin. Had an excellent chicken rogon josh and tasted my companion's chicken achari (I think it was), which I've never had, but had a delicious limey taste. Both dishes were spicy, but not too hot. On this evidence Khushma serves excellent good value Indian food.

A decent takeway with small eat-in facilities offering Bangladeshi and Idian cuisine. Khushma cottage offers an interesting mix of standard curry house fare mixed with more unusual 'chef's special' dishes. The food is good - their advertisning blurb claims that 'this establishment has won several awards from the Good Food Guide' and while I can't verify this I've no reason to doubt it. There's free home delivery on orders over £11.00 or a free bottle of house while with a table of 3 or more dining 'in'. A cut above the run-of-the-mill and my favourite in town.
