Reviews for Mr India
Went to Mr India last night for a very special occassion with my family - my sister had just qualified as a Doctor, so we were looking for a nice place to go! Decided to go to Mr India, as had never been there before. Well what an experience, and by that I DO NOT mean good! We were'nt even showed to our table - we were pointed to it! The waiter spilt water all over me, and i ended up with wet jeans, a wet top, and to make it worse wet hair with a lime in it!!! Ok I understand accidents happen, but what was worse was that there was no acknowledgement that it had happened, I was not shown to another seat, my chair was not changed and I had to request a new plate and napkin! The food was awful - i have been to a lot of indian restaurants, but this has to be the worst. We started with the Veg Platter - all I can say is it was full of oil! Throughout the night the waiters looked moody and dull and had no concept of why people choose to dine out!!
The food was extremely overpriced! In comparison to other indian restaurants in wycombe this was definately not value for money!!
My only advice to anyone considering going to this restaurant is dont bother! one word to describe it -AWFUL!
Ah the name says it all, doesn't it?
Well, the name and service may be circa 1970 but the decor is pure 1990s. The food is elegantly presented, full of spice and flavour, and brought with a smile and flourish from the eager waiters.
Busy on most nights of the week, because really there is not much to criticise. The lamp chop starter for my partner was huge, and most dishes were generously portioned. Recommended.
