I just wanted to let you know that my party (of12) and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant on Saturday evening. The atmosphere and food were exceptional. The standard of presentation and service is to be commended and I will be recommending this restaurant to all who will listen .

A group of 8 of us went to Al Dente for New Years eve and were disappointed with our experience. We found the food was very salty and food was not very authentic italian. The food was brought to us at different times meaning some of the group had to wait for others mains before we could start.

We were restricted to a set New Years menu that was not very italian at all and due to the lack of vegetarian options were then given a normal menu. The restuarant staff overcharged us twice and although apologetic took a while to sort the bill.

Overall reading the reviews we were expecting better and were not happy for the price that we paid. Really expected a more authentic organised italian feel.

I like the Hatch End branch, which is pretty, romantic, jolly (in the evening), and moderately priced, so the Harrow branch is on my wish list.

As a fan of seafood and risotto I have got say Al dente have got there Risotto Mediterraneano down to a tee. I can be quite a fuss pot so when i go there they ask me what seafood i like in it and how i like. They have now put my own preferred risotto on the menu for everyone to try! The owners and staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Great choice of specials and a enough choices on the menu to suit everyone
