Reviews for Waitrose
More snacks in the sandwich counter than in the cafe so we were able to find smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels in the main store, then pay for them at the same time as buying coffee, tea, fruit juice (Innocent) and chocolate cake in the cafe, where we could sit and read free newspapers.
Plenty of parking.
Waitrose is the supermarket division of the John Lewis Partnership, with 192 branches as of September 2008. Like the partnership's department stores, Waitrose is targeted at the middle class market and this is reflected in their pricing. Although I believe the pricing to be fair as it is line with the quality of goods.
Waitrose is situated oddly next to a stapples store and a furnitare whos name escapes at the mooment
Waitrose stores vary considerably in size. The Harrow branch is the one of the larger branches. In keeping with it's size the supermarket provides added amenites such as a a petrol station and cafe.
Waitrose has the reputation of having good quality food. This particular branch is clean, modern, well organised and friendly. They have an in store cafe which sells hot and cold meals, or if you would rather, a drink and a snack.
The supermarket is bright and attractive with extra wide aisles. Promotions are well advertised in store and on a leaflet that you can pick up by the till.
There is a big car park that allows you to park close to the shop and is free for the first 2 hours.
Although prices are a little more expensive than other supermarkets the good quality food and the lack of queues at the check out makes it a very positive experience.
