First of all, who in the heck took this last person around Harrogate? There are more than two clubs!! There are seven clubs. Some are exclusively for members and harrogate residents only, to prevent all the chavs that are bussed in from Leeds getting in.

But Carringtons is a last resort... unless its Halloween in which case everyone looks about right in there and in all seriousness, then ... and only then... is it a good night out.

You either get the really young goths types or the old ageing rockers in there. And a handful of chavs.

Rather dodgy. Wouldnt use toilets unless you want to be beaten up. A fat woman robbed my blusher last time I was there.

It used to be cool in its day but now its like an outdated living room with stained carpets and ultra violet lights.

If you go when there are bands on its okay... a decent crowd shows up for the rock bands and they are stricter with entrance policies.

Things to watch out for:

Chavs
Druggies
Fat people with too much eyeliner
Lot of bulked up ex-army boys on steroids

One of only two clubs in harrogate, choice is very limited, carringtons is free entry before 11 oclock, but doesnt start to get busy until after 12.
there are two floors:ground plays pop, and rnb, floor is always full of glass, repeats the same 10 songs all night.
Second floor is pure cheese 70s, 80s and pop, can be a good night but the people on this floor are 35+ and disturdly gropy
if like me you are below 30 stay away! go to leeds much more choice and younger men.
