Reviews for Mushtaqs

Beware false praise
- this establishment has 2 entries in trusted places - the other is under musthaqs restaurant - there are some quries regarding the legitimacy of the reviews.

What could be easier than just setting up another page with a different name? Rather pointless if the aim is to inform potential customers.

Maybe the individual who started the other thread forgot the apostrophe, or used a lower-case "M"? I can assure you whatever the case may be, my praise is not "false". I am a bona fide reviewer.

The restaurant formerly known as the Taj Mahal in Hamilton. Recently totally refurbished from top to bottom and now called "Mushtaq's".

Well.... what can I say? We loved this restaurant when it was the Taj Mahal, and are even more impressed now its been refurbushed and re-opened with a new name, completely new and impressive decor and a new ambience. Gone is that traditional West of Scotland Indian restaurant feel, but what its been replaced with is something truly special. You will notice that the new design is airy, fresh, clean and modern. But the new feel is just the beginning. The food is delicious! All natural ingredients, free from artificial colours and flavours (so no dayglo red sauces in sight!). The buffet options are tantalising. The flavours of each dish sublime and the friendly service from the staff can't be beaten. The Taj Mahal was always the best Indian restaurant in Hamilton. Now reinvented as Mushtaq's I'd go as far as to say its the best Indian restaurant in the West of Scotland! Whatever they put in their curries is addictive! Our weekly visit is essential!

Nowhere, however, is perfect. Gone is the draft Cobra beer to be replaced by bottles. And for the missus they don't do ginger beer (she loves that with a curry). They've stopped making chapatis which is a bit of a disappointment. But these 3 things are the only minor blots in an otherwise excellent all round Indian meal experience.
