Reviews for Victoria Bar
Way back in the mists of time when I first started working in a plumbers' merchant I used to get a lift to and from work from the assistant manager and more often than not he'd ask me as we were about to leave at 5pm "do you fancy a pint?" to which more often than not (being a VERY poorly paid employee at the time) my answer was "I don't have enough money" and he would always reply "I'm not asking you how much money you have, I was asking if you want to go for a pint" and so we would go and he would pay for it. I suspect it was largely to do with this that I'm of the "what goes around comes around" frame of mind and will happily buy a drink or two for friends who haven't the cash (either at all, or on them at the time) on the basis that they'll do likewise for me or someone else.
Anyway, this pub was where we used to go, was just down the road and is ordinary.
