Reviews for Hardies
I remember this pub when it used to have more of an atmosphere. It now has the obligatory plasma screens and has painted the walls a lovely cream colour.. They obviosly trying to appeal to a younger clientele, but I think it was better the way it used to be. Only my opinion.
Hardie's is located right behind the New Cross Shopping Center in Hamilton. This place is great is you want homemade British food. Their lentil soup with a side of crusty bread and butter is the perfect cure to a cold day. Prices are more than reasonable, probably the cheapest of any pub I've been to. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I recommend the vegetable lasagna or the steak pie both delicious. The desserts are a good size and tasty as well. For two people the bill is usually no more than £12. They serve food from 2-4pm and also offer a 2 course special menu. The offer is two courses for £5.25.
