We went for lunch to the Queen Victoria. It's a clean, friendly pub serving quite an extensive selection of lagers and hand-pulled beers. There is a large menu ranging from sandwiches to full meals - all home-cooked using fresh ingredients, and you can tell! There are various themed nights advertised - curry night (prices looked cheaper than the takeaway), steak night (2 for £10), Karaoke etc and a slap-up Valentine's meal.

There is a large menu ranging from sandwiches to full meals - all home-cooked using fresh ingredients, and you can tell! There are various themed nights advertised - curry night (prices looked cheaper than the takeaway), steak night (2 for £10), Karaoke etc and a slap-up Valentine's meal.
The landlord and staff are very friendly, and it's a warm and welcoming pub. Will definitely go again.
