An excellent Sunday lunchtime ambience. We were able to get a table without difficulty which was quite surprising as a lot of tables were reserved and it has an attractive menu with very good food. They make a feature of using local suppliers, organic meat etc and everything certainly tasted very wholesome. We went for the set 2 or 3 course lunch but there was also an a la carte menu and a good wine list, not too expensive. we were not deterred by a notice outside proclaiming "lovely horse poo 50p a bag" but nor did we sample it. Another plus was the absence of music, just the buzz of cheerful conversation. Highly recommended.
