Di Maggio's is a great Italian, a short detour down a signposted lane from the busy Byres Road. It is, like Di Maggio's other branches, quite tightly packed with the maximum number of tables, so perhaps not the best place for planning a secret plot or an intimate marriage proposal. It tends to be busy during evenings and weekends, a sign of its popularity. The staff have always been friendly and funny and the service pretty good. It's not haut cuisine, but the menu is extensive, including vegetarian options and interesting salads. I have found the food to be consistently good and it's all pretty good value.

This restaurant was recently closed and re-decorated. As a result they knocked down a wall and made the place bigger with a few booths as well as tables. Looks great!
I think the food here is better than at Royal Exchange Square and the staff are so friendly - highly recommend it. 5pm.com do great deals for here too.

Fairly good American/Italian food. Often pretty busy, but the food is usually of a decent standard. The biggest criticism I have is that the tables are very close together which makes it feel very cramped.
