Reviews for Sisters Restaurant
Had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant but we were disappointed. The portion of halibut was very small and the dish was very salty making the fish seem quite dry. Unlikely we will eat here again.
Wonderful to have this kind of quality restaurant in an area that is pretty short on good eateries. We last visited in November, with children, including a small baby. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The decor feels a bit on the claustrophobic side, but that may just be because there are just velux windows. There is outside seating, but have never had the chance to try (or the weather :-)
We were eating from the pre-theatre menu, and felt while the price was good, portions were really very small. Food was lovely and fresh.
I visited The Sisters Restaurant prior to Christmas last year with a friend. It is located next to Anniesland train station which provides a service to Glasgow city centre. The restaurant focuses on combining local seasonal ingredients and delivers to a high standard. I enjoyed a fantastic starter of scallops and pork which I would struggle to pass up on any future visit. Service was excellent at such a busy time of the year and all staff were friendly and approachable. The wine list offered a good selection for varied budgets and the staff were knowledgeable when it came to matching wine with food. I would recommend the Sisters for any food lover looking for relaxed atmosphere dinning. I look forward to my next visit to the Sisters.
I have visited this restaurant many times and I would definitely keep returning. The worst thing about it is the parking, which can get quite full! The food is scottish, good meat and veg, but tastes excellent and is well presented. Best value is the predinner menu, where you can have excellent dishes at a low price. The service is friendly and it isn't loud and crowded. The also have great wines that they feature every month. The Sisters have another restaurant in Finneston. That one has a more contemporary decor, but the food is just as good. Both are a must visit!
