Set at the road fork of Pollockshaws Road and Kilmarnock road this pub/restaurant is ideal for anyone living in the area, it offers real ales alongside the normal draught and also offers a range of cocktails. Unlike most bars in Shawlands they actually serve tenants as well. Set over two levels and two bar areas there is plenty of seating for both diners and sociable drinkers alike, and the different areas means that even this large busy pub can feel intimate and cosy when you are enjoying a quite drink and a catch up. The food is excellent with many of the recipes having a traditional Scottish feel.

Friendly atmosphere with busy but friendly staff. Considering the number of pubs and eateries that have opened up recently in Shawlands, The Granary is till going strong. Varied, excellent value food available. Burgers, breakfasts, and lite bites are a small selection. Your standard selection of beers and lagers. Food menu seems to be aimed at attracting in the shoppers, but is available til later on in the day. Quite dark inside with heavy wooden furniture, but it is not oppressive as both sides of the building has windows. Overall The Granary is a welcoming local in the heart of Shawlands.

The Granary is a brilliant pub. The place has a good atmosphere and it serves brilliant pub grub that is bordering on gastro pub food. There is an extensive menu with everything from burgers to a ploughman’s lunch, you can have something cheap and quick or more expensive but filling. It has a good selection on beers and wines and is perfect for a Sunday lunch after a hard Saturday night with friends. It is in Shawlands so after a bit of a wander through Queen's Park or a bit of shopping pop in here for something to eat and a good chat with friends.
