Reviews for Agra
I live rather close to the Agra, which means I'm there far too often. However, it's always worth it as the curry is very very good. Of course it has extremely strong competition as we are after all in Glasgow, but if you're in Anniesland or surrounding areas, or indeed towards Bearsden, it's totally worth a visit. You can also combine it with a few pints at Lock 27 by the canal - perfect!
There's not too much to say other than the curry here is always tasty and the ingredients very fresh. My boyfriend and I have eaten our way through the 'speciality dishes' section and have enjoyed every dish. My particular favourite is the Lamb Jalfrezi - it's a pound extra but you get an extra bowl of tasty sauce along with the meat curry (crunchy red and green peppers, mmmm), and rice is included which is always enough for two people. Well worth it! The spiced onions and mango chutney are some of the best I've tried and the garlic nan is amazing, though turbo-strength.
Lastly, the staff are always attentive and friendly and the Elizabeth Shaw mints with your bill are a nice touch (a top quality mint in my opinion).
The Agra is a hidden gem that deserves more custom!
