To be fair Charilie_beat - you started this childish squabble - posting a 5 star review twice in the period of 1 week does clearly skew the ratings.

I also visited the reatuarant and can assure you am not an envious competitior as you accused hamiltonboy of being.

Everything was average - not as bad as hamilton boy makes out but definately not 5 star as some reviewers have given.

There is much better food available locally down the road - i won't say where for fear of being called a competitor.

This site is a waste of time - a genuine review has been shot down by jealous / small minded people (hamiltonboy)

If you look carefully at the patterns you will see that this whole negative rating has been fabricated.

Very annoying too when you simply post a genuine review. If you are posting a good(ish)review then I bet you will be accused, like I was, for having a vested interest.

Went to restaurant last weekend - usually go to another place locally but thought would try something different.

Service ok - had to ask several times for drinks, food was luke warm and lamb a little tough.

Decor was very cold - good if you like that kind of thing - we didn't.

Won't be back

You obviously have a vested interest in the restaurant and it is not in potential customers interest to make a mockery of the review system by continually giving 5 star reviews - i am merely balancing it on my experiences at the restaurant.

And re Birmingham - a simple error when registering on the site.

All I did was put in a review and I cant see why you have such a problem with this.

This is a forum for genuine reviews and you have somehow turned it into a shoot em down match!

Look at all the postings so far - everyone has no other reviews and has just recently registered.(including me but i went to the web site before going to the restaurant and based on the 1 positive review at the time so felt obliged to register and put in my comments after my visit)

Suspicious, Suspicious, Suspicious.

And no, i am not a competitor - just a genuine customer who was rather disappointed with my night out.

This place was different with a friendly atmosphere - very swanky and chic...a little to modern for my liking but I am really old fashioned!

Buffet for ten pounds was good value and there was plenty of choice. The service was good. Only downside was that it took a while to get a table and they don't take reservations.

Once your on your table, it's all good. The food was really nice and there is a real warm vibe from the plentiful staff who are always on hand.

This is by far the best food we have ever tasted!!
If you think a 3 course buffet at 9.90 is too expensive you must be joking!!

The interior is superb - as a designer myself, I can see restaurants following suit - watch this space.

Anyway - great food - what a superb experience
