amazing place!!! quality of food and value for money cannot be beaten. 3 courses for £5 on a monday and wednesday served until 7pm is amazing. the food is all home cooked from the bread to the pate, nothing from a packet here. give it a try folks, you wont belive it.

The Auld Hoose pub goes waaaaaay back.The place is where the stories my dad tells aboot when Archie young was the boss.Christ! the noise fae Archies on a Friday night was like'';; the piano going and everyone singing,all jammed happily in! I dont know whut kind of pub you like but GOOD LUCK to the new management! My Favourite Place is The Whitehills Farm, what a great weekend they host Disco/Karaoke,laser and smoke machine, the singers are Amazing!!! The Whitehills Farm and The Auldhoos Arms Demand Respect!!

We have been living in EK for 20 years now and have been regular visitors to the Auldhouse Arms over the last few years on special occasions due to the fact the food was fantastic but slightly over priced. Now that the new owners have taken over we have been back every week over the past couple of months. The food is now even better (you need to try the salmon which has been marinated in IRN BRU yes IRN BRU!!!) It's stunning. We recently had family over from Florida USA and we had a family night out here, the only word I could use for the meal and everything in general was SUPERB!!! The new owners have improved everything including the food at the Auldhouse whilst reducing the prices, FANTASTIC. I would recommend this place to everyone to give it a try, you won't be dissapointed.

Living in EK we had heard about the Auldhouse Arms & after reading the review in the evening times we decided to go out that night for a meal . On arriving the carpark was busy (always a good sign). We had butternut squash & coconut soup as one of our starters it was fantastic !!! . For mains the standout for us was the Ham ,Pea & asparagus rissotto . Very creamy ,well seasoned and visually stunning . We also rated the venison which was perfectly cooked med but we were a bit dubious about the chilli & red wine reduction but it wasnt overpowering . Lovely atmosphere , great service even better food we will be back soon !!! Keep up the good work .

i was in the same night as kyliexxxblue,i think he must have been drunk,the noise was from a hen night of about 16 girls having fun.the food is good and the staff are great. the young girl singing in the corner was very professional, she sung quiet but modern ballads. i would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I completely agree with FionaK. The food is fantastic and the feeling is great. I went on Wednesday and much to my suprise found that they have a fantastic menu at a great price. 3 courses for only £5!!!!!!!! Normally when you see this kind of deal you would expect the food to be average. BUT IT IS NOT!!!!! The freshly cooked meal is fantastic, and variety is great. Good food at these prices is brilliant if you are a student. The staff are freindly and welcoming also. That along with the nice traditional decor makes a fantastic place to eat.

Found this little gem quite by chance almost 7 weeks ago and have been making a point to go back every week since. The whole character of the place is designed for fun, relaxation and due to the live music on a Friday and Saturday you almost get the feeling that you are part of one big happy family.

The food is fantastic. All freshly cooked, nothing from a packet here!! Although you wait a little longer, it is well worth it especially with the wide range of traditional scottish and unusual dishes availible. Check out the chefs specials board for something really different.

The live music is a hit. Much better than loud pop music blasting from a stereo, which is what you get in most places you go to eat these days.

All and all you get value for money, great food and a magic atmosphere. Myself and friends cannot recomend it enough.

Auldhouse Arms Give it a Wide Birth 6th June 2009

We have been going to the Auldhouse Restaurant for a meal for over 5 years and have always had a nice meal at a reasonable price, in quite ambiance.
WELL UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT NOW
And on arrival should have turned and headed back to the car , as the noise from a stag party upstairs, could be heard from the car park, and on waiting for our first course, we also had the issue with the young girl trying to sing and play the guitar right behind our table, and with the noise from the stag party, but also with people around us returning meals, and when ours arrived I can understand why, Over Priced and not what we expected for the prices they charge, and on speaking to the young girl and boy regarding the issues all we got was "will take your comments on board.
On leaving the restaurant we were meet by people who had just left, and they also said they had the same experience as us and when they spoke to the manager, got the same response, "Will take your comments on board" all the staff must be singing from the same hymn sheet.
I will not be back, and also the people we spoke to said the same, Auldhouse Arms is only 2 miles from East Kilbride, and word gets around.
