Reviews for The Cork Bar

Situated at the bottom of Bent Hill in Felixstowe and facing the sea is The Cork Bar. Once upon a time this place was called The Grand Bars; a bit of a misnomer as it was never particularly grand, but it did contain many bars. The tradition of relative misnaming has continued since this establishment has no connections with Ireland or large towns in the south of that country. The Cork connection is an association with the Cork sandbank that lies some miles out in the grey waters of the North Sea off the coast of Felixstowe. So that's the history lesson, now for the facts... this is a charmless bar devoid of any character that serves run o'the mill beers and passable coffee. It has a further claim to fame; it is next door to what was voted the worst nightclub in the whole UK. The two good points... the balcony and the exit.
