Reviews for Cafe Paradiso
Whilst stopping at the Barcelona Hotel in Exeter on a special weekend break it included breakfast and up to £40 per couple for their in house restaurant Cafe Paradiso.
Often the food in these types of restaurants can be a bit dire and samey but I can promise this was not the case here. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, portions were a good size. The wine was very well priced and the dessert was the best one I have ever had.
It was a mixed plate of chocolate things, one of which was a chocolate fondant which I was warned took 15 minutes to prepare. It was the nicest thing I have ever tasted and I was actually overcome with emotion as I said it is the nicest dessert I would ever have. The chocolate fondant is still on the menu, if you like chocolate you have to try it, it's worth the wait!
