The Old Timers restaurant in Exeter is one of the only places to go if you're particularly hungry in the city centre. The portion sizes border on what you might find in an American restaurant.
Most of the food appears to have been home cooked and for this reason their meals seem to have a lot more flavour than lots of other venues. The Chilli Jacket potatoes are a particular favourite of mine.

The Old Timers restaurant in Exeter is one of the only places to go if you're particularly hungry in the city centre. The portion sizes border on what you might find in an American restaurant.
Most of the food appears to have been home cooked and for this reason their meals seem to have a lot more flavour than lots of other venues. The Chilli Jacket potatoes are a particular favourite of mine.
A friend advised me to try the pizza there one evening during their happy hour... in my opinion the pizza didn't hold a candle to some of their other more traditional fare.
