if you don't already know ask is a chain of italian restaurants - i've also been to the one in wells, somerset and both are in quite interesting buildings. This one in exeter is situated right by the cathedral and has two mains rooms to choose from both of which are well set out and spacious

the food is fantastic and just what you would expect from a quality italian restaurant - i have never been disappointed on the several occasions i've been here - the staff have always been efficient and friendly - a very good place to go with family and/or friends

Ask is situated on Cathedral Green in Exeter and if you are lucky you will be seated next to a window that overlooks the beautiful cathedral. It is a very romantic setting and is actually the first place my now husband took me for a meal in order to woo me. It worked!

It serves Italian food, mainly pizzas and pastas. I really enjoy all the food that I have had at this restaurant. Their pizzas are excellent, with quite thin traditionally Italian bases. the toppings are always of excellent quality.

There is also a superb choice of win available. This is a favourite place for special occasions amongst all of my friends.

The only downside is that at lunchtime, if it is busy, quite often the staff are not quick enough, but I suppose this is to be expected when things are being cooked from fresh.

A lovely setting with lovely food. Go there!
