Wide selection of delicious meals available - everything tastes out of this world! This cafe-style restaurant is ALWAYS busy and you may struggle to get a table on a busy shopping day. And there is a reason for this. The place is bright (lots of nice art on the walls) with a bright atmosphere and bright friendly staff - you leave feeling very satisfied. The best thing is the 3 salads which come as a side on most of the dishes which are always all delicious without fail and the homemade soups. Its very refreshing not be confronted with the same drab veggie options - this is a place and menu with soul - vegetarian or not you cant go wrong.

this is a fantastic place for something a bit different - my girlfriend and kids are not vegetarian but they always find lots to choose from the varied menu of wholesome and delicious food - there is so much stuff to choose from and everything i've tried so far has been well prepared & very tasty - as a plus for me they sell some very nice beer and for all of us if we are still hungry after having a lovely main course they have some very yummy afters to choose from. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Overall it's one of Exeter's finest places to eat whether you are vegetarian or not

Herbes is a vegetarian restaurant in the centre of Exeter. It is a lovely busy homely restaurant that serves delicious vegetarian food. My husband is a big meat-eater and thinks Tofu is a disease so when he suggested we go here for lunch, I thought he was going to tell me he was having an affair!

I was amazed at the quality of the food and also the number of things on the menu that as a vegetablephobe I could order and enjoy. I would particularly recommend their daily home-made soups with various choices of bread. This is delicious and so filling.

The setting is really homely and exciting and the staff are exceptionally friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

(For those who are interested, he wasn't having an affair... as far as I know!)
