In the past 6 - 9 months the Balfour seems to have improved, both in terms of stock held and staff attitudes.

They have greatly increased the levels of fresh stock held in store, including a reasonable range of fruit and vegetables. Previously it was hard to find anything healthy to eat in there but now it's much better.

They also seem to have improved their range of wine and beer to include a better selection and the offers seem to compete well with the supermarket deals.

One thing they do seem to struggle with is dealing with busy periods, there is no sense of urgency when a queue builds up and often you will see the members of middle management leaving the till assistants to deal with a large queue rather than going to assist.
