Hi, sorry forgot to mention, they also have a really cool van outside which advertises deliveries, how convenient is that for convenience food!

Hi, been to Sidwell Fish and Chips yesterday. Under new owners now and boy can you tell. Ordered Fish Bites (not actually on the menu, but happy to oblige) wow fantastic cooked to perfection, and proper chips to boot. Not over salted and not drenched! Place is having a make over too. Nice happy smiley faces serving me to, makes a change to the previous owners.

Kazza you're crazy. Don't allow them to add salt and vinegar - what do you expect - a complete drenching - then to ask for them wrapped and take them home - quel surpise! - they're soggy.

Munch on!

Worst fish and chips I've ever had. It took 20mins to cook and was soggy by the time we got home (15mins drive). Add to that it was completely drowned in vinegar - totally inedible.

I'm guessing you made the schoolboy error of having the hot food wrapped - always soggy - you're steaming the crispy batter. As for the wait - worth it if you scoff 'em fresh.

Fish fried fresh to order, chips good year round and a delightful high street location - many tables with window views
