You won't find a tea room in a more serene setting than this. The Almonry is set in tranquil gardens, accessible from High Street or the rear of the Cathedral, and offers a spectacular view of the Lady Chapel. If the weather is fine it is worth sitting outside for this alone! Views aside, the Almonry is a traditional tea room offering sandwiches, scones and some delicious cakes, of which the date and walnut loaf merits a mention. Lunch and dinner is also served in the more formal downstairs...

Views aside, the Almonry is a traditional tea room offering sandwiches, scones and some delicious cakes, of which the date and walnut loaf merits a mention. Lunch and dinner is also served in the more formal downstairs seating area, with its fine vaulted ceiling.
