This has been my favourite Edinburgh restaurant for some time and I try and come here whenever i'm in town. The view is breathtaking and the food is fantastic. A bit overpriced, but hey, you can't have everything! A definite must, especially for sundowners on their lovely terrace.

I work in the city and am regularly in many of the cities restaurants, Oloroso has to have the Best views in the city by far. Food is exiting and service compliments to overall experience.

    Certainly worth a visit.

Classy & the best roof terrace in Edinburgh
    Current
They say "location, location, location" and although you'll miss this place several times before finding the unobtrusive entrance, when you get inside you'll get my point.

Take the lift up to the fourth floor from the Castle St entrance and you are transported to the very best views of the Castle and the City from the rooftop restaurant and outside terrace. The interior is smart and classy & the service efficient rather than friendly. There is an extensive Cocktail Menu, rather overpriced but well mixed when they arrive.

There is an extensive grill menu and the food when I went was perfectly competent and well presented rather than exhibiting natural flair, which for that kind of money may have been better spent in Leith at Martin Wishart's or The Kitchen. Make your own mind up is my advice.

Well worth visiting though for the Drinks and the oustanding views.
