Wedgwood The Restaurant
Royal Mile 267 Canongate, Edinburgh, EH8 8BQ
Reviews for Wedgwood The Restaurant
This newish restaurant serving modern British/French food is run by a young couple Lisa and Paul and is a very welcome addition to a stretch of the Royal Mile which is not known for its quality eating places. Paul is the chef and creative genius and Lisa is the front of house and business brains. Both have to be admired for delivering quality local ingredients to the diner with relaxed friendly charm and sophistication. The menu includes Roast Cod done with chorizo in a basque kind of way, Scottish beef fillet, scallops with smoked ham and a rocket and cheese tart. The local Scottish Cheese board is worth the visit on its own. A fantastic glass of Oreades Sauvignon blanc and an intersting Tasmainian Pinot noir set the bill at £80 for two. A must if visiting Edinburgh
