    The Carriers Quarters is a little pub in the Shore area of Leith in Edinburgh.

    It actually comprises 2 areas...the bar area at the front and a "lounge" area at the back.

    I prefer the bar area at the front - although both areas feel snug and cosy and have a nice ambience.

    The service is usually good with friendly staff and drinks are reasonably priced.

    Prior to the smoking ban I did find this pub hard going due to the fact it was so small but it is much more pleasant to visit now.

    If you are in Leith on a cold evening and need to warm up, I highly recommend you visit the Carriers Quarters for a wee dram!
