It's a great feeling to discover a bar that you know is a hidden secret to all but those in the know.

Under The Stairs is enconced in a basement in a small street that could easily be in a scruffy Paris suburb. It's a curious mix of desirable living room and classy cocktail bar with well loved furniture in all shapes and sizes from deep padded leather armchairs to mini stools and high backed chairs. It all adds to the cozy feel of this place though and gives it a lived in laid back feel.

This place sets high standards with both drinks and food which ensures you stay longer than you ever intended.

Drinks-wise there's something for every taste - premium spirits, an eclectic well chosen wine list and imported continental beers including the superbly crisp Kirin Ichiban on draught.

The food is probably best described as high class rustic comfort fayre that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. For those with the munchies after a couple of drinks a fully laden cheese board comes to your table incredibly until 1am !!

A live DJ completes the cast list at weekends, spinning discs to contented punters in this effortlessly cool establishment.
