Until recently this was a run-down bar. Using a phrase, the regulars used to say it was "possibly the worst-run bar in the world".
Now under new management and wholly refurbished, it is a lively, friendly bar, with decent pub food, decent choice of beers, and a nice place to meet.
Well worth putting on any list of decent local Edinburgh pubs.
