I visited Scotland for the first time a few months ago (which is ridiculous because, living near Newcastle - the nearest large city to the border - i should have been sooner). We stopped at a couple of places and ended up in Edinburgh. After walking about this great city for a while, we ended up in The Mitre. I love this pub. It has a great atmosphere which reflects the obvious age of the place and even has a resident ghost to go with it. The beer was great, the food was excellent and i left with a feeling that makes me want to visit Scotland and, more specifically, The Mitre and Edinburgh again.
