I was last there during the festival so things were perhaps busier than usual although I doubt this pub will very be quiet! The staff were friendly and kept things in order which is always good to see. Toilets (male anyway) were of typical pub standard so you might want to hold your breath ;)
The beer garden is especially good with loads of seating on offer and some cover should you get caught out in a typical Edinburgh shower. There’s a good selection of drinks on offer and prices seemed to be competitive (although not especially cheap). I’ll certainly be visiting again next time I’m in the area.
